Job Description
Our client is seeking to recruit a versatile Engineering Manager to lead a dynamic team of IT System Engineers and Network Specialists in delivering high – end IT Enterprise Infrastructure and Network/Security solutions with high standard of service whilst providing vision and direction to enable the company to achieve its business objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and implement all operational and administrative policies and procedure within the Technical Services Department.
- Adopt a Project Management methodology to ensure close follow – up on project implementation and completion within deadline.
- Leverage our service capabilities to create new service offerings (e.g. Managed, DR/Backup, Cloud and Network and Security Services) and business opportunities.
- Proactively manage key customer accounts and assist management in strategy development.
- Lead and motivate personnel of the Engineering department to achieve targeted results.
- Keeping abreast of the latest IT trends to innovate and improve Services offering portfolio.
- Ability to mentor junior IT engineers, as well as to collaborate with all stakeholders.
- Responsible to efficiently perform any other managerial duties as may be requested by the COO.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Degree in IT/Engineering or related discipline with IT focus.
- Any higher relevant qualification will be an advantage.
- At least 10 years’ experience in Managerial Position, out of five years proven experience in a similar post.
- Excellent communication and analytical skills
- Good leadership skills with the ability to motivate, inspire, direct and mobilize team members to achieve business objectives.
- Demonstrate strategic vision and always take long term view whilst acknowledging apparent short-term pressures.
- Strong customer focus whilst always taking account of business objectives.
