Job Description

Our client a leading paints manufacturing company in Mauritius, known for its innovative and quality products, is seeking a highly skilled and dynamic Finance Manager to lead its finance department. The ideal candidate will play a key role in managing the financial health of the company while contributing to its strategic growth.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Strategy & Planning:

  • Develop and implement financial strategies to support the company’s business objectives.
  • Prepare budgets, forecasts, and financial models to aid in decision-making.

Financial Management:

  • Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
  • Manage cash flow and ensure adequate liquidity for operational needs.

Compliance & Reporting:

  • Ensure compliance with local and international financial regulations and standards.
  • Prepare and present accurate and timely financial reports to the management and board of directors.

Audit & Risk Management:

  • Coordinate and manage internal and external audits.
  • Identify and mitigate financial risks, ensuring robust internal controls are in place.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team to achieve departmental and organizational goals.
  • Foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Cost & Performance Analysis:

  • Monitor and analyse production costs, margins, and pricing strategies.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend efficiency improvements.

Strategic Collaboration:

  • Work closely with other departments to align financial strategies with operational and strategic plans.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to support business growth and profitability.

Qualifications & Experiences

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; a Master’s degree or ACCA is highly preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial management, preferably in manufacturing or a similar industry.
  • Strong knowledge of Mauritian financial regulations, tax laws, and compliance requirements.
  • Proficient in SAP B1 software and advanced Excel skills.
