Job Description

  1. Team Supervision:
  • Monitor and supervise the accounting and administrative team, providing direction, support, and performance feedback.
  • Delegate tasks and responsibilities to ensure efficient and accurate completion of both accounting and administrative duties.
  • Conduct regular team meetings to discuss progress, address issues, and implement improvements.

2. Financial Reporting:

  • Prepare and review financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
  • Compute depreciation and maintain the Fixed Asset Register (FAR) to track asset values and depreciation schedules.

3. Accruals and Prepayments:

  • Maintain and update accruals and prepayment schedules to ensure accurate financial reporting and expense matching.

4. Accounting Transactions:

  • Book accounting transactions, ensuring proper recording in the general ledger and adherence to financial policies.
  • Oversee the accuracy and completeness of all accounting entries and reconciliations.

5. VAT Computation:

  • Compute Value Added Tax (VAT) and ensure timely and accurate submission of VAT returns in compliance with regulatory requirements.

7. Administrative Oversight:

  • Manage administrative functions, including office operations, facilities management, and procurement processes.
  • Ensure efficient administrative support and coordination with other departments to streamline operations.

Qualifications

  • 3 – 5 years of experience in Team Management/Accounting
  • Bachelor Degree or equivalent
